9:30 AM–10:30 AM EST — Vote Climate

As the impacts of climate change become increasingly severe, the need for effective climate policy has never been more urgent. "Vote Climate" is not just a slogan—it's a call to action for voters to prioritize the climate crisis at the ballot box.

In this session, we will delve into the critical role that climate plays in shaping our future and why it must be a central issue when voters go to the polls. We'll discuss the importance of electing leaders who are committed to strong climate action, explore the influence of policy on environmental outcomes, and highlight ways in which voters can make climate a top priority in their electoral decisions. Join us to understand how your vote can help steer the course toward a more sustainable and resilient world.

Climate change has profound implications on human health. Complacency is not an option. While there has been promising progress and growing interest in the connection between climate change and health, we must close the climate and health action gap – now.

Kaiser Permanente and the World Economic Forum will host the next critical conversation in our Connecting Climate Change and Health panel series: Closing the Action Gap.

2:45 PM–3:30 PM EST — Reinventing Your Value Chain – Practical Examples And Needs For Success

The magnitude of the needed transformation is becoming clearer, for companies, policymakers and research. Many companies are working hard, both in practice and to get the support needed to reinvent their value chains in order to ensure they can fully transition into the net zero operating space. We need to change how we work, how we think, and what we aim for when it comes to reductions, but in some cases, we need a complete transformation of what a value chain may look like as well as the actors, products and services that are in the midst of these value chains.

In this session, we will hear practical examples of how companies are transforming their value chains, and what is needed to be able to do so.
